- The official Logic and Accuracy (L&A) Test for the August 4, 2026 Primary and Special Election will be held on July 1, 2026 at 2:00 pm. The test is conducted by Whatcom County Auditor’s Office election staff.
- The Whatcom Healthy Children’s Fund has awarded $750,000 to two local nonprofits as part of its Winter Storm Recovery Assistance Program to help families with young children impacted by the December 2025 flooding.

- Drivers should plan for a weekday daytime road closure on Drayton Harbor Road just west of Shintaffer Road, at the location of the current single-lane closure.

- The Whatcom Chief will be out of service from 10:10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, to inspect and maintain the ferry terminal facilities at both Lummi Island and Gooseberry Point.
